Credits & Transcripts

Credits

By successfully completing the Winter University Program, you can earn up to 9 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System):

Academic Course: 6 ECTS

German Language Course: 3 ECTS

The ECTS is a standard used across Europe to recognize academic work completed abroad. It helps students transfer credits from one university to another, so that coursework done during the Winter University Program can count toward your degree at your home university.

To find out how the credits will be recognized, please contact the International Office or Study Abroad Office at your home university. They can advise you on how to transfer the credits into your academic program.

For more information about how ECTS works, visit the European Commission’s website.

Transcript of Records

After successfully completing the Winter University Program, you will receive an official Transcript of Records. This document lists the courses you completed, the ECTS credits earned, and your final grades.

You can use this transcript to have your academic achievements recognized by your home university. The ECTS system helps make this transfer process easier between institutions.

For detailed information on how your credits can be transferred, please contact the International Office or Study Abroad Office at your university.
