German Language Course

Learn the most widely spoken language in Europe and practice your language skills in everyday situations.

The German language course is an important part of the Winter University Program and organized by the Language Center of Hochschule Darmstadt. It has long-standing experiences in teaching foreign languages and their instructors are qualified in teaching German as a foreign language.

On the first day of the program, you will be placed into the class that best fits your German language skills. We offer German language courses on all levels from A1 (basic user) to C1 (proficient user) that are all in correspondence to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. 

You do not need any prior knowledge of German for the language courses, but please be sure to complete and send in the results of your German Language Assessment Test with your application.

Please note that it is not possible to attend only the German language course. Participating in the academic seminar is a prerequisite. In addition, it is also not possible to skip the German language course. It is an integral part of the program and a great opportunity to learn more about the German culture.
